Rocky Gap!

This weekend Steve and I went camping with the family to Rocky Gap! It's an annual tradition for at least my mom and one or two other kids to go with this other family, the Meredith's. It was a treat for me and Steven. Not only because it gave us a chance to get away for a little bit, or because we both like to camp, but also because the last time we were here was when we were dating in Maryland two years ago. It brings back fond memories, and yet is different. For instance, Steven doesn't have to sleep outside of tent on a cot, or in the car anymore. He can actually join me in the tent this time...it's warmer that way too.

We went on a fun hike to Emitt's Homestead. Emitt was spurned by the love of his life when she refused to marry him. He decided to become a hermit and live up in the mountains near Cumberland Maryland. When we got to his homestead all that was there was a well. We saw the sign for a "Senic Overlook" and decided to check it out. We were all pooped after. I crashed to took a long nap while Steve prepared for his presentation with the Army Research Laboratory (which went well).
