There are different explanations for ways to see these correctly. One way is to put your finger out in front of you and focus on the tip. Everything behind your finger will be out of focus because you're actually cross eyed, but just a little bit. While focusing on your finger look at the image until you see three of them out of focus. Three is key! Keep looking at it for awhile and let your brain do what it always does, superimpose two flat images to make one 3-D image. When your eyes naturally focus, you will see three images. The middle one should exhibit convincing depth. Try to ignore the flat images on either side. (If it takes awhile don't give up. It took me at least a half an hour. It only took Rachael 5 minutes. That why I love her, she's amazing!) If you don't get it at first, make sure you are centered with the picture and your head is level. It's harder from the side or if your head is tilted. Also, if you see four instead of three, move closer/further to align the center two. Good luck! It's INCREDIBLE when you get it so don't give up!!!

And my personal favorite. This one is special because you can cross your eyes a little to see 5 columns of brains. The middle three columns are in 3D, each with a hint of the brain areas mapped onto the brain. You can also cross your eyes just a bit more until you see 6 columns. The middle two columns will be in 3D without the mapping effect.

Ever want to see inside someone's head?

Comment on how long it took you so we can compare. And don't worry, you will all probably beat me. It's called a stereoscopy if you want to find out more. Ask me when you see me next and we can take a 3D image of you right then.
Here's some of Kimmie:
