A Fair Day at the Fair!

Bruce, Erika, Joe, Kimberly and I having a unique experience at the fair. It was a first for most of us so we made sure to have a good look around. It was impressive to see so many young kids raising animals to bring to compete here. Some spent as much as 3 hours a day to take care of them. Then they bring them here and auction them off and keep the proceeds. Pays better than video games, and they actually learn something.

Oooo... Pretty!

Joe was kind enough to give us a ride in his new ride. If you weren't aware, he struck it big this summer. Took first place in a world Call of Duty tournament and used his winnings to buy a Jaguar.

For the animal competitions we learned that it's all about looks and making the animal look like it has more meat. What deception! Take this cow for example. They trim hair in the middle of the back short and let the front and back grow a bit longer. I guess it makes his haunches look bigger. They also let the hair on the legs grow long to create the illusion of it being larger.

I hope you enjoy all the clips. We had a great time.

Tell Joe I like his sweet ride. I dated a guy at BYU with a jaguar. Pretty impressive. I guessed you and Rob missed out with the Utah State Fair. We started going regularly when Cam and Nat were in 4-H. Cam won a purple ribbon for his canned pears. It burns Nat and Bean because we all worked together and then they picked a bottle to enter.
