So Rachael is still super stressed with school. If you haven't heard from her in too long, she loves you but just doesn't have as much time to catch up. I am so proud of her. She felt like she was one of few going to grad school but knew it would be important as a backup if anything ever happened to me. So here she is, busting her... nails? and working her little tail off.
If you don't know, I have a research job studying radiation. It safe, don't worry, asbestos tiles, lead bricks, high voltage equipment, radioactive materials, and linear accelerators. It's actually pretty funny. I'm required to get loads of training on how to avoid getting H1N1 and that I should stay home (not earning money to support my incredible wife and future family!) if I do get sick. All the while, one of the buildings (which I avoid) has asbestos tiles. Wasn't that outlawed in like, the 60's or something.
One other side note(warning: the rest of this paragraph may get boring). So does anyone (nerdy like me) know why we refer to something as radioactive when it is not necessarily emitting "radio" waves (electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength of 1000m or a bit less than a mile long aka MASSIVE wavelength but VERY LOW energy and LEAST DANGEROUS)? More commonly these materials emits gamma waves (0.000000001m or 0.000001mm aka higher energy and dangerous in large quantities) or massive particles that can be more dangerous like neutrons, alpha particles, electrons/positrons(betas), you get the idea. So why don't we use the terms gammaactive or neutronactive? Maybe people would not be so scared of it (though if you understand what I wrote it should be more scary).
Now that I have a job, the next thing on the list is find somewhere to live. Fortunately the housing market is amazing right now so a mortgage isn't much more than renting. We're looking at this place:

What do you think? We will probably post more photos of the place we end up in and the repairs I do. I am looking forward to making a place look how we want it too. No landlord, no parents (I love you!), no grandma (I love you too!), just the beautiful Boss and me. :)
Well until next time.
This is Steve signing off.

Is this the place that you showed us on video? Have you checked out the crime rate of the area? And the reason they call it radioactive is the same reason we call facial tissues Kleenex. Someone started it and it sticks.
YAY!!! Someone is reading!
This isn't the place we showed you. Most places worth getting are under contract within a week of posting. This is one we looked at this last week.
I have looked at crime. It's hard to find a good website (well, I haven't). There is a police station .2 mi away which is good.
I like it! it reminds me of the houses we were looking at in GA.
