Background Info

Well most people who check this blog probably already know me pretty well....but just for the sake of being at the beginning of it all, I shall give you the load-down of my life. - ish.

I am currently going to BYU majoring in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. I have been married for 9 months to Steven Howell. He also goes to BYU and is majoring in physics. We both graduate in April '09 (Thank Goodness!) and then we will be celebrating by going to England for a week on our neighbor's timeshare. Awesome. That will probably be the highlight of my year.

My little family just consists of Steven and I right now, but really when you are married and have no children of your own yet, it's more like your family is BOTH of your families combined. So in that case, I am one of 14 children, with two sets of parents, and two kids. It's a big family, I know. And yes, holidays DO get crazy. *Ursula accent*"But that's what I live for!"

Even though my personal family is not very large yet, it's still important to me. Steven and I got married December, 27, 2007. We first met each other a year and four months prior in our singles ward at BYU. We were basically just friends for two semesters and then ..... fate! I was going home for the summer and Steven got an internship with NASA in DC. (An internship, by the way, that they were already full for but accepted him anyway) We got in contact with each other once he was in MD, and it turned out that his place was only about 5 minutes from my work, and 20 from my parents house. We began to date and as soon as we figured out how much we like each other....spent every...single...day together for the rest of the summer. He spent many weekends and nights with my family and friends, which, in my mind was just perfect. After family, my friends are the next important thing to me.

Once the summer was nearing to its end, Steven went to Idaho to by an EFY counselor while I stayed in Maryland. At the time it seemed like the longest week of my life. Then I flew out to Utah, and drove up to Idaho and then to Montana with a couple of Steve's friends to stay with Steve's family at their cabin. We stopped in Idaho to pick up Steve, and I guess absence makes the heart grow fonder because that is where he proposed to me. We were in a beautiful garden close to the Idaho temple. At a semi-secluded spot next to a small waterfall he pulled out a poem that he had made for me. I thought it was very funny and sweet, then towards the end of the poem he went down on his knees and proposed in rhyme. Obviously I said yes, and he actually looked surprised.
